Arrears recovery tops the list

Kathmandu, April 13: The percentage of 'amounts to be recovered' has topped the list of arrears in the general audit of government agencies. 



The 54th annual report of the Auditor General has revealed that the category of 'amounts to be recovered' has the share of 42.48 per cent while classifying all the arrears this year.

Acting Auditor General Sukdev Bhattarai Khatry on Wednesday had submitted the annual audit report to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari. 


This year the Office of Auditor General had audited the financial transactions of total 3,944 government offices. It reveals that the arrears amount to be finalized with necessary action this year has reached Rs 396.25 billion. 


The arrears amount last year was Rs 328.78 billion. RSS
