According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the enforcement drive generated Rs 2.276 million in revenue for the state treasury.
Among those penalized were 128 drivers caught driving under the influence of alcohol, 160 involved in unauthorized ride sharing services, 141 who violated traffic signals, and 183 caught speeding.
Police also took action against 43 drivers for lane discipline violations, 123 for honking in restricted zones, 14 for parking on sidewalks, 166 for driving on one-way roads, and 1,487 for various other traffic offenses.
