Army opens fire to arrest rhino horn smuggler in Makwanpur

The Nepal Army’s New Gorakh Battalion fired five rounds into the air to prevent the escape.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26:  The Nepali Army fired shots in the air during the arrest of a rhino horn smuggler in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-8, Makwanpur.


According to Makwanpur Police, the incident occurred on Thursday morning when the smuggler attempted to flee during the arrest. The Nepal Army’s New Gorakh Battalion fired five rounds into the air to prevent the escape.
