Army men injured in bus-van collision

BAGLUNG, July 27: Eight persons including five Nepal Army personnel were injured when a passenger bus and a Nepal Army van collided with each other on Tuesday.



The bus (Ga 1 Kha 2296), heading to Pokhara from Baglung, and the van (Ba 1 Ga 1963) collided in Shivalaya VDC of Parvat. The army personnel from Nepal Army’s Naya Bhairavi Dal Barrack, Parvat were heading for a rescue operation at Khurkot, where a landslide had occurred on the Pokhara-Baglung Highway.



Those injured in the collision are Gokarna Chaudhary, Ved Bahadur Budhathoki, Yug Bahadur Magar, Ram Charan Chaudhary, Gautam Gurung, Jayaram Tamang, Chandra Bahadur Thapa and Sharada Gurung. They are receiving treatment at the district hospital in Parvat.
