KATHMANDU, May 28: The departmental team, Tribhuvan Army Club, has reached the semi-final of the Prime Minister Cup One Day National Cricket Championship. Army Club trounced Karnali State team by 117 runs in the match held at Mulpani Cricket Pitch.

Karnali had invited Army to bat fir after winning the toss. Army registered 290 runs in 50 overs losing its nine wickets. Karnali, chasing a victory target of 291 runs, was limited to 173 runs in 35.1 overs at the loss of all wickets. Sushanta Thapa made the highest runs for Karnali.
He hit 31 runs. Lalit Pyakurel made 28 runs not out, Diwan Pun made 26 runs and Yunis Singh 20 runs for Karnali. Towards bowling, Sushan Bhari of Nepal Army took four wickets. Likewise, Sahab Alam and Karan KC took two wickets each. Army's Raju Rijal made 66 runs, Rohit Poudel 56 runs, Harikrishna Jha 52 runs, Karan KC 28 runs, Sahab Alam 16 runs and Lokendra Chand 16 runs. Karnali's Lalit Pyakurel took five wickets and Rabindra Shahi two wickets towards bowling.
