KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) Club and Chitwan Tigers have set the summit clash of the ongoing Aadhi Aabadhi Women’s Volleyball Tournament after their respective wins on Tuesday.
In the semifinal matches played at the National Sports Council (NSC)’s Covered Hall at Tripureshwar, Kathmandu, APF defeated Shivam New Diamond Academy, while Chitwan beat the other departmental team Nepal Police Club in the other last-four clash.

APF beat New Diamond in straight sets of 3-0 with all the sets being competitive. APF got behind 3-9 in the first set, but recovered well in the set winning it 25-22. It won the second set competitively 26-24, while it was victorious in the third set 25-23 to reach the final of the tournament.
Likewise, in the other semifinal of the day, Chitwan also saw off Police easily in straight sets of 3-0. Chitwan, who has three foreign players, won the first set easily 25-11. It had no problem in the second set as well, as it got a 25-14 win, but the third set was competitive, and it struggled to beat Police 25-23 to make its final journey.
The final of the tournament will be played on Wednesday, while New Diamond and Police will take on each other before the final on the same day for a third-place finish.
