The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to demolish the illegal structures around Fewa Lake on Sunday. A joint bench of Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla and Justice Om Prakash Mishra ordered to demolish the illegal structures around the Fewa Lake.


PM Oli stresses development, vows to end corruption


Addressing the parliament of Province 5, Prime Minister KP Sharma shared that the government would toughen its stance against anyone who’d try to disrupt social and economic cohesion. Rajali to be declared Chhaugoth-free zone


Rajali, the part of Badimalika-3 in Bajura district (Province 7) is to be declared the zone free from chhaugoth (makeshift hut meant for the shelter of menstruating women and new mothers). The practice of chhaupadi (a social tradition that banishes menstruating women and new mothers from home, sending them to makeshift huts or cattle sheds as they are considered impure and thus untouchable) is still pervasive in the district.


Japan Sumo Association to consider opinions on female ban


The Japan Sumo Association says it will consider outside opinions from experts and the public over its much-criticized policy of banning women from entering the sumo ring.The association held an extraordinary meeting of its board on Saturday. 


Kim Jong Un pledges to invite media to witness nuke site shut down in May


North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has promised to close his main nuclear weapons test site in May and said he will invite South Korean and American media to witness the shutdown.
