APF personnel injured during bomb disposal

PARSA, Sept 22: An Armed Police Force (APF) personnel was severely injured in a bomb blast that took place at the office of the Border Security Force in Birgunj Monday night.



The blast happened as the policemen were taking out socket bombs from a vehicle parked inside the APF office.



A team of the APF´s border security force had confiscated the socket bombs from two cadres of Akhil Tarai Mukti Morcha. They were arrested at 9 pm on Monday.



Policeman Raj Kumar Pandey was injured in the blast while taking out the socket bombs.



The two Morcha cadres were arrested on the basis of information that they were to explode bombs at Apex Pharmaceuticals at Parwanipur, Bara.



It is learnt the Morcha cadres had demanded Rs. 500,000 in donation from the manager of the pharmaceutical company which he refused to give.



Those arrested are 21-year-old Satendra Pandey (Bachchaji), a resident of Eamnagari VDC, Prsa district and 18-year-old Ramlal Pandey (Ramprabes) of Parwanipur, Bara district.
