Likewise, 41 children of incumbent, retired and martyred APF employees passing the School Leaving Certificates Examinations- 2068 BS with top marks were also honoured.
Similarly, IGP Wonta presented letters of appreciations to those non-government organizations helping security peoples injured in different incidents.
On the occasion, messages of greetings extended by Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, DPM and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Home Secretary Nabin Kumar Ghimire were read out.
Stating that a policy of zero tolerance has been implemented against organizational corruption and sexual violence, IG Wonta said a separate unit has been established from the headquarters to the border security offices to control such crimes.
Challenges to security are being increased with the development of technologies, APF IG Wonta said, and pledged to move ahead in coordination with the bodies concerned to make the APF technologically capable.
According to Wonta, a Welfare Service Center has been set up to expand the APF medical service and strengthen the APF Sports Club.
