UDAYAPUR, Feb 2: Armed Police Force (APF) defeated Rastriya Jagriti Club of Sunsari 3-0 in tie-breaker on Saturday to book its berth in the semifinals of Udayapur Gold Cup Football Tournament being held in Udayapur.



The match was decided through tie-breaker after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw and the additional time also failed to break the deadlock. [break]



AFP converted the first three penalties while Jagriti missed its first three spotkicks. Arjun Subba, Nabin Lama and Bhim Shrestha scored for the departmental team, while Binod Lama, Manish Gurung and Suwarna Limbu of Jagriti missed their penalties. Arjun Subba of APF was declared the man-of-the-match.



Earlier, Binod Lama had given a 38th minute lead to Jagriti but Arbinda Chaudhary leveled the scores three minutes later.
