KATHMANDU, March 14: Global Finance, a magazine, has selected Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd (SCBNL) as the winner of ‘The Global Finance World’s Best Banks 2015 Awards’ for Nepal. The bank has been named the best emerging market banks in Asia Pacific. A press release issued by SCBN on Thursday said that the bank shares the title of ‘The World’s Best Emerging Markets Banks In Asia-Pacific 2015’ along with other winners in the region.

The bank has been selected based on criteria like growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products. “The award was decided based on the exclusive survey to be published in the magazine’s May 2015 issue,” the release added. This is the 22nd year that the magazine has selected top banking performers in emerging markets. The report covers best banks in Latin America, Central & Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, according to the release.
