ANFA to help quake victims

KATHMANDU, April 30: To support the people affected by the devastating earthquake, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the country's football governing body, on Thursday has decided to raise relief funds by organizing various events.

Though ANFA has not elaborated it further, it has urged clubs and players to join hands for the cause. It has further stated that All India Football Federation has provided Rs 1.76 million for the quake victims while the Asian Football Confederation and International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) have also expressed willingness to help the victims.


"At this moment of great tragedy, the football association expresses its heartfelt condolence to the families of the deceased and also thanks the international football community for their concern and help to the victims and the nation," ANFA said on its website.
