BHOJPUR, March 25: An ammunition cache has been discovered in Martel area at Salpasilicho Village Council – 5.
Two-inch mortar, tear gas shells, light firearms, socket bombs, home-made pistols, grenade, SLR bullets and explosives were found, according to District Police Office, Bhojpur.
Local Angelu Sherpa found the ammunition in a box while cleaning up an old house and informed the police immediately. The munitions have been stored at the Police Post at Dovan.
A bomb disposal squad from the Nepal Army's Eastern Division, Itahari has been dispatched to the location. Police assume that the weapons may have been stored during the insurgency era. RSS
