KATHMANDU, April 15: Embassy of India celebrated 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on April 14, 2016 at Kathmandu. The president of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba was the chief guest and Hisila Yami was the guest of honor at the program.
Speaking at the program Deuba highlighted Dr Ambedkar's contribution in the upliftment of the weaker sections in India, which was made possible through the rights enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

The Ambassador of India to Nepal, Ranjit Rae highlighted the contribution made by Dr Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution of India and giving the statute its very essence as a document for political and socio-economic rejuvenation of the country.
The program was attended by more than three hundred people from different fields.
