KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that all the land belonging to Tribhuvan University will be brought under its name. On Wednesday, through social media, he said that the process of bringing the Lalita Niwas land under the government's name has started, and that the land of TU will also be transferred to its name.
PM Oli wrote, “A coincidence - in the year 2076 BS, we formed a commission under the leadership of Sharada Prasad Trital from the Council of Ministers to search for the land of Lalita Niwas. The case is currently ongoing to transfer the land of Lalita Niwas to the government's name.”

After that, PM Oli wrote that the committee formed to search for land and movable assets of TU has become a committee under the leadership of Trital. PM Oli further wrote, “The commission's study report was received on Tuesday. Sharda Prasad Trital must be unwell. I wish him a speedy recovery. The government will further study the facts recommended in the report of the committee formed to search for land and movable assets of TU and implement it.”
“The land of TU will be brought in the name of the university and anyone who embezzled it will be subject to legal action,” PM Oli wrote, “The areas that have not been and could not be studied by the commission will also be searched after further study.”
PM Oli has said that the issues recommended by the commission will be implemented immediately and further studies will be conducted on the remaining issues.
