KATHMANDU, June 15: All four gates of the Pashupatinath Temple have been opened from 4 AM today starting today.
Rewati Raman Adhikari, spokesperson of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), said that the four gates of Pashupatinath Temple have been opened from today with the aim of allowing all devotees to have access for worship in the morning, as the number of visitors to the temple has been increasing.

He said, "Previously, the remaining three gates of the Pashupatinath Temple were opened only after 8:30 AM, following the entry of the priests. However, from today, all four gates will be open at 4 AM."
After opening all four gates, lines of devotees for the worship of Lord Pashupatinath in the core area have increased, making it easier for devotees to worship, according to spokesperson Adhikari. Until now, the west gate of Pashupatinath Temple opened at 4 AM, while the north, east, and south gates were open from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Earlier, the four doors of the Pashupatinath temple were opened from 4AM only on the days of Mahashivratri, Haritalika Teej and Bala Chaturdashi.
