Similarly, APF B toiled hard to overcome Western Region A 21-13, 16-21, 15-8 for a place in last four.[break]
APF A defeated arch rival Army A in straight sets 25-23, 21-19. In last quarterfinal match, Army B edged past host Western Region B 21-16, 21-13.
In other league round matches played on Tuesday, Police A thumped University Sports Association 21-12, 21-8, Far Western Region A defeated Eastern Region A 20-22, 21-11, 15-8, Western Region A thrashed Mid Western Region A 21-6, 21-6.
APF B crushed Far Western Region B 21-12, 21-17 and APF A outplayed 21-11, 21-11. Army A downed Mid Western Region A 21-6, 21-6, Army B beat Police B 21-16, 9-21, 16-14. Western Region B beat Central Region 21-18, 21-18. Both the semifinal and final round matches will be played on Wednesday.
