SURKHET, April 15: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that all three border points of Karnali Province with the northern neighbor China will soon come into operation.

As Karnali Province does not have any border with the southern neighbor India, Oli said it is important to open all the border points with China for the prosperity of the province.

In the fifth provincial ministerial council meeting held on the shores of Rara Lake on Friday, PM Oli stressed the need for bringing into operation the border points of Hissa of Humla, Nakchenangla of Mugu and Dho of Dolpa district.

Inaugurating the 'Karnali-Rara Tourism Year 2018', Oli said, “Bringing the border points into operation is a priority for both central and provincial governments.” He further added that the government is prioritizing the development and prosperity of Karnali Province.

“Regardless of the geography, every place is equally important. The country cannot hope for prosperity without the prosperity of Karnali Province,” PM Oli further added.

He also pledged to extend the roads of Surkhet to Rara Lake and build roads in Humla and Dolpa within a year.

“We'll also operate airways transportation in all the districts of the province keeping the provincial capital Surkhet in the center,” he added.

“As Karnali Province has lots of possibilities, it can also pave the way for development and prosperity of the whole nation,” said PM Oli.
