Alka team back from Jajarkot

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The 15-member medical team of Alka Hospital, Jawalakhel, returned to Kathmandu after providing free services to diarrhea patients in Jajarkot district for 15 days.



Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, the hospital said it treated a total of 2,362 patients including 249 suffering from other diseases. The team led by Dr Dipak Baral treated patients in the worst hit VDCs like Majhkot, Bhagwati, Karkijyula, Gothgaun, Kaina, Thalaraikar and Karuwa after reaching Jajarkot in early August.



Meanwhile, Grace Hospital, Chabahil, conducted a free health camp in diarrhea affected Ladagada VDC of Doti on August 20. It also distributed 10 kg rice, one kg sugar, one packet iodine salt and a soap each to 211 poor families in the VDC, according to a press statement issued by the hospital on Wednesday.
