Alka Hospital staffer found dead in jungle two days after she went missing

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: The dead body of a staff member of the Lalitpur-based Alka Hospital was found in a forest in Lalitpur on Friday.


Police recovered the mortal remains of 39-year-old Gita KC at Lele forest in Godawari Municipality-10, Muldol, some 200 meters away from the road, at 7:30 pm on Friday, said Lalitpur Police Chief SSP Tek Prasad Rai. According to the preliminary investigation, she might have been strangled to death, Rai added.

The dead body could be identified only on Saturday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur.


SSP Rai, talking to Republica over the phone, shared that police arrested her relative Nirmal KC from Bhaisepati Area on the charge of being involving in her murder.


Gita was missing since Thursday.
