KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is launching low-cost direct flights to and from Nepal starting October 17.
The low-cost carrier will conduct four flights a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Issuing a statement, the company said that the four weekly service offers greater connectivity and value-for-money options making it easier and more convenient for customers to travel between the two countries.

Nepal is the carrier’s eighth route. It has said that it has also introduced free COVID-19 insurance coverage which is automatically included as part of the booking and no additional documents are required from the passengers. According to the company, the validity of the insurance is 31 days from the day of departure on the itinerary. Passengers who test positive for COVID-19 during the period will benefit from the insurance coverage that includes medical expenses and quarantine costs.
The first flight to Nepal is scheduled to depart from Abu Dhabi at 9 am (local time) and will arrive at Kathmandu at 3:05 am. Similarly, the return flight will leave at 3:45 pm and touch down at Abu Dhabi at 6:50 pm (local time).
