KATHMANDU, March 3: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has called its parliamentary party meeting on coming Friday.
According to the party's parliamentary party, the meeting will take place at 1PM at Lhotse Hall, Federal Parliament building, New Baneshwar on Friday.
The meeting is going to take place two days before a meeting of the House of Representatives. According to NC leaders, the meeting will discuss the party's strategy in the unfolding political developments in the aftermath of the restoration of parliament with the Supreme Court's verdict two weeks ago.
Even as the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party is preparing to file a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the lower house of parliament, the NC is yet to decide whether to support the move.
It is learnt that the NC is closely observing the NCP's formal split, legally, so that it can maintain its upper hand in the national politics and take initiatives to form the government under its leadership when Oli is forced to step down in coming days.
