Agitators torch 2 govt offices, vehicle in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ, Sept 3: Cadres of agitating parties set ablaze two government offices--District Education Office (DEO) and District Soil Conservation Office --in Rajbiraj, the district headquarters of Saptari, on Thursday. They have also torched a jeep (Ba 1 Jha 4761) parked on the premises of the DEO.

Agitators claimed that they torched those government offices for defying their strike.

Curfew order continues in Birgunj

Following the death of six protesters, the curfew imposed in Birgunj from Monday has been relaxed for two hours in the evening since Thursday. Local administration has imposed the curfew for an indefinite period.

A jeep, Ba 1 Jha 4761, at education office was set on fire, while furniture at conservation office was reduced to ashes.

Although the District Police Office is located at a distance of 500 meters from the education office, fire engine reached the office only after half an hour of arson.
