KATHMANDU, April 13: The agitating 33 political parties, including the CPN-Maoist, held an interaction with the civil society representatives.

Former speaker Daman Nath Dhungana said it was worrying that the persons without any role for changes in the country were given government responsibility. "Chief Justice is used to ridicule the law," he argued.

Journalist Kanak Mani Dixit said present government can´t hold election but would stick to power.

Similarly, historian Dr Ramesh Dhungel said nationality at present was at the ricketiest moment of Nepal´s history. The trend of meeting any senior personality by the ambassadors at any time needs to be stopped, he stressed.

Chairman of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, Raj Kumar Lekhi, said the country has already headed to party-less system. He added that this government would breach every right of the citizens.

Chairman of the Janamorcha Nepal Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari said it was traitorous to provide citizenship certificates by descent to the children of those having citizenship by birth. He demanded that the citizenship by birth needs to be investigated.

After the suggestions from the civil society members, CPN-Maoist Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel said recent four-party agreement was in need of correction, and the Maoist party would force to correct it through the protest.

He made it clear that his party would not participate in the election to be held by this government. However, the party would join the government formed under the political person.

Political analyst Dr Surendra KC, water resource expert Ratna Sansar Shrestha, professor Om Gurung and others said the four-party syndicate had no legitimate stand.
