In the semi-final, African United will take on the winner of Tuesday´s match between Mega Three Star and Ranipokhari Corner Team.
Sanp opened the scoring in the 23rd minute for African United in a cross from Dodoj Lieoni. The home team backed by huge home support equalized in the 35th minute after Laxmi Shrestha unleashed a powerful strike from 30-yards.
African United sealed the victory three minutes from time with a freekick taken from the edge of box. The freekick was awarded after African United skipper Ezee Collins was fouled by Eastern player.
African United dominated the show from the beginning and piled immense pressure until the final whistle. In the eighth minute, Eastern custodian Manish Timilsina brilliantly denied Idris´ powerful shot from the area.
In the 55th minute, skipper Thapa´s powerful strike rebounded from African United´s defender and host teams second shot went wide.
Eastern captain Sagar Thapa was declared the man-of-the-match. On Monday, Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) will take on Hong Kong Nepalese Football Team.
