Advocate Om Prakash Aryal elected as President of Constitutional Lawyers’ Forum

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Advocate Om Prakash Aryal has been elected as the president of Constitutional Lawyers’ Forum (CLaF).

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Advocate Om Prakash Aryal has been elected as the president of Constitutional Lawyers’ Forum (CLaF).


A 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Kathmandu on Friday elected Aryal as the president of CLaF for two years. The AGM was held under the chairmanship of Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi.

The AGM also elected a new working committee for a two-year term. While Aryal has been elected as the president, Sharmila Shrestha has been elected as the vice president of the body. Similarly, Liladhar Upadhyay has been elected as general secretary, Roshan Pokharel as the treasurer and Dinesh Tripathi, Amar Bahadur Raut, Roshani Paudyal and Pawan Kumar Jaiswal as its members.


While Senior Advocate Dr Bhimarjun Acharya served as the founding president of the CLaF, Senior Advocates Kumar Regmi, Tikaram Bhattarai, Dr Chandrakant Gyawali, Rabinarayan Khanal, Lalit Bahadur Basnet, Raju Prasad Chapagain, Dinesh Tripathi have already served as the president of the CLaF in the past.
