KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Acting Prime Minister Prakashman Singh has called an emergency meeting of the stakeholders concerned at the Prime Minister's Office following a significant loss of life across various parts of the country due to incessant rains.
In response to this crisis, a meeting with government ministers, secretaries, and security officials was called for at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar at 2:30 PM, and is currently underway.

According to the secretariat of acting PM Singh, the meeting involves ministers, secretaries, and heads of security agencies to discuss the disasters caused by the continuous rains.
As of now, floods, landslides, and inundation resulting from the relentless rainfall have claimed 39 lives, with dozens more reported missing. An assessment of the physical damages is yet to be conducted.
