UML makes it mandatory for each party member to add at least two new voters

KATHMANDU, August 27: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has made it mandatory for each party member to add at least two new voters and conduct a campaign keep loyalty of five old members intact to the party.

KATHMANDU, August 27: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has made it mandatory for each party member to add at least two new voters and conduct a campaign keep loyalty of five old members intact to the party. The plan was presented at the Central Committee meeting held at the party’s central office held in Chyasal on Saturday.


According to Bishnu Rijal, Deputy Head of Publicity Department, UML has 800,000 old members. He said that about 300,000 of those added are yet to be updated. The party estimates that if 1.1 million party members add two voters, 2.2 million votes will be added in favor of UML.

At the meeting of the Central Committee, the team of leaders of all nine groups put their opinions on the report of the Chairman Oli with questions and suggestions raised from the group discussion. Chairman Oli is scheduled to answer the queries raised before concluding the meeting.
