Many of students are nervous to deliver speeches in front of an assembly. Even when they try, some stumble during their speeches or have weak knees. Some students feel difficult to adjust in a new school in the initial days. This is all because of lack of confidence.
Some kids worry about things before hand and lose their confidence even before trying things. Low self esteem and low confidence force student to stay away from extracurricular as well as classroom activities.
Some are so scared that when a teacher asks a question, they just nod their head even if they know the correct answer. The lack of confidence makes them doubt that their answer might be wrong and they’d become a laughing stock for not knowing simple things. This kills the students’ ability to come forward, gradually making them even more awkward in front of a mass.
The many forms of guru
It is said ‘we are what we think’. So, it is crucial for everyone, especially students, to have a positive attitude toward life and boost self esteem in order to overcome the lack of confidence. A positive attitude affects how you think, act and even how you relate to other people. It allows you to live up to your potential.
Low self esteem causes negative thoughts, making you more likely to give up easily. In addition, it makes a direct impact on your happiness and wellbeing.
To develop confidence and self esteem, it is important to start your day in a positive note. Instead of putting yourself down every morning, try positive affirmations that help boost your confidence and make yourself try new things. Believe that you were born with a purpose.
Students must manage their time to be free from course books, enjoy with their friends and spend time doing something that they hold passion for. Don’t compare your life to others’ as there is no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time, and so will you.
This is to all students that lack confidence in life, praise your positive aspects, flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centred by accepting whatever you are doing. Success will ultimately be yours and you will be a person of value.
