He said that during the meeting, party president and Prime Minister Deuba had said that he would move forward with the proposal that the MCC should be passed by parliament without looking at profit and loss. Recalling the works done by the previous government, General Secretary Thapa said that the proposal passed by the Council of Ministers is being submitted to parliament.
He said that Deuba is of the belief that the party would not show double standards and take contradictory stances on MCC while in the opposition and in the government.
General Secretary Thapa also said that a meeting would be convened soon as the party leaders were trying to discuss the work of the government. He said that since it was appropriate to bring an impeachment motion against suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana, he expected other parties to cooperate in it.
