KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai said that the activities of senior orthopaedic surgeon Dr Govind KC are like “looking London, talking Tokyo”.

Speaking at a premium show #2030 of Nepal Republic Media with Prakriti Bhattarai on Tuesday, Minister Bhattarai said that Dr KC is “emotionally blackmailing” the government.

“I have the same opinion towards him, whether I am in the government or in the opposition side,” he said, adding that he does not agree with some of the demands raised by Dr KC.

Dr KC has been staging a hunger strike for the 19th time, demanding reforms in the medical sector. He was brought to Kathmandu on the eight day of his strike at 11:45 AM on Tuesday from Nepalgunj.
