Showing a strong defensive game, Police claimed the first set 25-17. Spikes and blockers were at their best to help Police claim the second set 25-18.
Police dominated the third and final set 25-14 as Army was under pressure after losing the earlier two sets.
Police took home Rs 315,000 along with trophy, while runner-up Army had to settle for Rs 175,000. Similarly, third-place finisher Armed Police Force Club took Rs 110,000.
Kul Bahadur Thapa of Police was adjudged the best player of the tournament and claimed Rs 25,000, while Police's Sanjay Aryal won the best spiker award, Im Rana won the best lifter award and Samsher Chand was adjudged the best libero. Army's Raj Kumar Thapa won the best defender award. They all got Rs 5,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, Kopila Upreti, who was the member of the Nepali women's volleyball team that won bronze medal in the 12th SAG, received letter of appreciation from the organizer.
