KATHMANDU, Dec 17: With 947 COVID-19 patients, who were undergoing treatment for the viral disease, getting over the disease in the past 24 hours, Nepal’s COVID-19 recovery tally has climbed to 240,363 which accounts for 95.5 percent of the total confirmed cases.
As many as 9,580 COVID-19 patients, however, are undergoing treatment for the disease either at institutional or home isolations. Of them, 340 patients are being treated at ICU (281) and ventilator facilities (59).
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 251,692 people have so far been diagnosed with the disease including 776 new cases on Thursday. Nepal conducted 6,588 RT-PCR tests to detect 468 male and 308 female COVID-19 patients.
Similarly, six more patients succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours taking the total fatalities to 1,749.
