KATHMANDU, June 9: Police in Province 5 have formed a three-member committee to probe the brutal murders of five employees at a cow farm in Tilottama Municipality-10 in Rupandehi district on Monday night.

According to the provincial police, the committee is led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Raj Kumar Baidwar.

“Police are on the way to the crime scene. The three-member committee led by me has a Superintendent of Police and a Deputy Superintendent of Police as members,” Baidwar told Republica Online, adding that police have already interrogated a few people.

According to local police, the five employees at the cow farm at Mainahawa in Kanchhi Bazaar were brutally killed when they were sleeping inside the cow farm. The incident became public only on Tuesday morning. It seems that the deceased were hit by a domestic weapon.

Those killed include a female and four males including a 14-year-old boy.

It is still not clear who is behind the killings of the workers of the cow farm.

An employee, who was found unconscious at the scene has been sent to a local hospital for treatment, while another employee, who was found hiding near the incident site, has been taken under control by police for investigation.
