British trade mission in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, March 13: A trade mission led by Britain-Nepal Chamber of Commerce (BNCC) arrived Kathmandu on Sunday.

NCCH Chairman Rajen Kandel and Chief Executive Richard Pelly are leading the delegation of 12 companies of the United Kingdom. The delegation will participating in business meetings and networking receptions, according to Kandel.

The group has two major companies, Mabey Bridge -- a manufacturer of rapid build and modular bridging, and Roughton International -- a company of consulting engineers with international experience and specialist expertise in transportation sector.

Similarly, the companies in the delegation are involved in health sector specializing in medical, dental and nursing. "They bring novel ideas, new technology and an enthusiasm to invest in the sector, such as in setting up a care home for the elderly," a BCCN statement said.
