The clash occurred at Chandranigahapur following heated debate on date and venue for organizing convention of Constituency No 3.
The cadres hurled chairs at each other while district-level leaders from both the factions were attempting to forge an agreement.
DSP Manoj Yadav said police stepped in and maintained order.
