NC meeting: Let's end factions and sub-factions in party

KATHMANDU, July 27: The central members of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) have emphasized on the need to make the party as one unit by ending the factions and sub-factions within the party.

KATHMANDU, July 27: The central members of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) have emphasized on the need to make the party as one unit by ending the factions and sub-factions within the party.


In the Central Working Committee meeting held at the party office in Sanepa on Thursday, the central members were of the view that there should be transparency in the distribution of party members in order to end factionalism within the party.

General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma demanded that the Mahasamiti meeting be held instead of the policy convention. He said, “Let’s hold a Mahasamiti meeting on November 27, 28 and 29 to do the work that was said to be done through the policy convention.” The 14th convention of the Nepali Congress held in November 2021 decided to hold a policy convention.


Central member Chitralekha Yadav, while discussing the contribution of women leaders to the party, emphasized that the party should respect the contributions of women leaders who have passed away.


Similarly, party central members Dr Minendra Rijal, Ramhari Khatiwada and Arjun Narsingh KC emphasized on the need to end factions and sub-factions within the party.
