9 hurt in road accident

BIRATNAGAR, July 6: Nine people have been injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Sundarpur-9 in Morang district early Wednesday morning.



A bus with registration number Na 3 Kha 4279 overturned on the road while trying to dodge a dog, it is said. The bus was heading towards Pokhara from Kakadbhitta. [break]



Among those injured, 51-year-old Deepak Maskey, 42-year-old Kumar Baral and 21-year-old Munna Shekh of Dharan and 36-yer-old Sunil Sharma of Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu are in serious condition.



They are undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan. The remaining five injured persons are undergoing treatment at Itahari. The bus driver is absconding after the accident.
