Volleyball squad announced for SAG

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepal Volleyball Association on Tuesday announced the final squad for men's and women's teams for the 12th South Asian Games. Nepal Police Club's Chandra Bahadur Kunwar, Kul Bahadur Thapa, Sanjay Aryal, Dev Raj Sharma, Im Rana Magar, Tribhuvan Army Club's Man Bahadur Shrestha, Bhairav Bam, Hari HajurThapa, APF's Mahendra Shrestha, Suresh Kumar Tharu, Pushpa Jung Malla and Bijay Thapa of Western Region are in the men's regular squad, while Army's Bharat Bhandari and Jagat Singh, APF's Babu Basnet and Police's Shamsher Chand are the reseve players.

Similarly, in the women's team, Usha Bista, Reshma Bhandari, Binita Budhathoki, Sarswati Chaudhary and Nebika Chaudhary of APF, Police's Kopila Upreti, Kamala Pun, Western's Manju Gurung, Manisha Chaudhary and Aruna Shahi and New Diamond Academy's Pratibha Mali are in the regular squad, while Police's Nita Shahi and Parbati Aryal, Army's Manisha Khand and APF's Jyoti Chaudhary are the reserve players.  


New Diamond triumph

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): New Diamond Academy on Tuesday recorded 25-3, 25-7, 25-4 win over Dhading Artists Club in the Dhorpatan Blue Sky National Women Double League Volleyball Tournament being held in Kathmandu. Similarly, Western defeated Tribhuvan Army Club by 25-17, 25-14, 25-12, Dhadhing Artists beat Janaki School 25-15, 25-11, 25-18 and Chandeshwari Club beat Bindhyabasini School 25-8, 25-7, 25-7
