'Riot hit zone' lifted in Siraha

LAHAN, Oct 10: The District Administration Office (DAO), Siraha on Saturday lifted the declaration of 'riot hit zone' in an expanse of 500 meters to both left and right sides of a stretch of the East-West Highway.

The DAO issued a public notice in the afternoon announcing the decision to lift the emergency provision enforced a month ago as per the Section 6 'B' of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS.


The District Security Committee meeting took the decision in view of the upcoming festivals of Bada Dashai and Tihar to lift the provision. RSS
