JHAPA, Oct 5: The indefinite banda called by the Madhesi Morcha and blockade imposed by India has resulted in shortage of drugs in the district.

According to medicines sellers, Nepali medicines fulfill only 40 percent of the demand in Mechi zone and remaining should be imported from India through Birgunj.

“Shortage of drugs has heightened after there is no supply of medicines since more than one and a half month,” said a drugs seller in Damak Dhanpati Baral.
