Supply of medicines finally arrives in Mahottari after months of shortage

GAUSHALA, Feb 6: The Mahottari district which was reeling under shortage of medicinal supplies will finally heave a sigh of relief with the supply of medicines to last at least three months.

GAUSHALA, Feb 6: The Mahottari district which was reeling under shortage of medicinal supplies will finally heave a sigh of relief with the supply of medicines to last at least three months. 


District Health Chief Dr Manish Pandey said that more than Rs 1.8 million worth of medicines have been distributed in Mahottari District Hospital including health posts, sub health posts and health centres across the district.

He added that 72 different types of medicines have been supplied to various hospitals and health units in the district. The medicines will be enough for the next three months and efforts are underway to bring in more medicines. 


The district had been facing acute shortage of medicines for the past five months. Dr Pandey shared that the medicines will be supplied to health units in the district by mid February. RSS
