Declaration of riot-hit zone continues in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, Sept 2: The District Administration Office (DAO) has decided to continue declaration of riot-hit zone in the district headquarters, Gaur.

Chief District Officer Madan Bhujel said that they took this decision taking into consideration the volatile situation following the ongoing agitation in the district.


The DAO said that all wards of the Gaur Municipality and the area covering one kilometer on either side of the Gaur-Chandranigahapur road stretch have been declared riot-hit area.

Gatherings, demonstrations and any political programmes among others are prohibited in the area.
