EEC-Nepal, LCCI sign agreement document

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: European Economic Chamber (EEC-Nepal) and London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have signed an agreement of cooperation in London in a bid to promote and strengthen the development of economic and trade relations and cooperation between the member companies of both the Chambers.



EEC-Nepal said in a press release that the agreement will "pave the way for more cooperation for the promotion of Nepal and the UK trade, investment and technology transfer."



The agreement was signed by the President of EEC-Nepal Dibya Mani Rajbhandari and Peter Bishop, deputy chief executive of LCCI.



EEC-Nepal and LCCI delegations are also currently meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, under the auspices of EU-funded ECIBON Project, aimed at enhancing the capacity of Nepalese Intermediary Business Organizations (IBOs). Other delegations taking part at the Copenhagen meeting are from Danish Federation of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and Federation of SME (FSME) Nepal.
