The larger full bench decided to extend the timeline by 60 days—until January 14—after reviewing a report prepared by SC officials, including Balaji Prasad Pandey and others, which had proposed a 30-day extension of the statute of limitation, time limits, and appearance dates, SC spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala confirmed.
The text of the SC’s order will be released on Monday.
As per the verdict, the deadline for collecting documents related to cases destroyed in the arson and vandalism that occurred on September 9 has also been extended by 60 days.
