81 injured passengers go home after receiving treatment

SINDHUPALCHOK, Oct 13: The passengers who were injured in a bus accident in Sindhupalchowk have started to leave hospitals after receiving treatment.


In the bus accident on Friday, as many as 11 persons died and more than 100 sustained injuries. After receiving treatment at different hospitals, a total of 81 persons returned home on Saturday. Still, 25 of the injured are receiving treatment at four different hospitals.

An overloaded bus (Ba 2 Kha 2715), which was carrying 120 passengers, left Siputar at 8.30 am and fell some 200 meters from the road at Bhotshipa around 11 am. 


The injured were rescued with the help of choppers and vehicles, and taken to five different hospitals for treatment.
