8 new oxygen concentrators procured in Humla for the treatment of COVID-19 patients

HUMLA, May 31: The health service office of Humla district has purchased eight new oxygen concentrators for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the region.

HUMLA, May 31: The health service office of Humla district has purchased eight new oxygen concentrators for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in the region. 


According to Prem Bahadur Sinha, head of the district’s Health Service Office, it was necessary to purchase oxygen concentrators to treat the increasing number of COVID-19 infections in the district. Prior to the current purchase, the district had 3 oxygen concentrators.

Tashi Angju Lama, a physician at the district hospital, said infected patients will be able to get proper treatment at the district hospital with the purchase of new oxygen concentrators. He also said that the district hospital has the capacity to treat as many as 12 patients at a time.
