8 JTMM cadres held

KATHMANDU, June 6: Police arrested eight armed cadres of Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Jwala Singh) in Banke district this week. Inspired by the success, the police claimed they will soon wipe out the existence of the armed group, which is involved in extortion and abduction in the district.



“There are around 30 members of the group. We have already dismantled the group,” said Banke police chief Mingmar Lama at a press meet held to make public the arrested persons. Four of them were arrested on Friday when they were extorting Rs 400,000 from a local businessman.
