With an aim to restore human rights and social justice, 7th International Human Right Film Festival will be held at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture premises from April 4 - 7 on Kathmandu. The festival will be inaugurated on April 4 by the Chief Commissioner of National Human Right Commission, Anup Raj Sharma.
The film will be started through German film ‘The March of Hope’. More than 18 films based on human rights from all across the globe will be screened in the festival. The films were collected via open applications. More than 2 dozen Nepali films are selected for the festival.

The participant-films revolve around issues like Political conflict, violence, terrorism, and people affected by these issues. The festival is presented in collaboration with National Human Right Commission, Film Development Board, Nepal Tourism Board, and United Nation Organization. Apart from screening, the festival will feature interaction program as well.
According to a press statement the event will be attended by various dignitaries including cine artist and human right activists. Organizers of the festival are hoping to promote Nepali films in the international market.
