CIB nabs currency forger

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has arrested a person convicted of dealing with duplicate Indian currency notes.

CIB nabbed Iltaf Hussain Ansari of Bhawanipur-3 from Satdobato of Lalitpur on Saturday.  


The Lalitpur District Court on June 9, 2010 had slapped a three-year jail term on Anasari and Rs 26.19 million in fine.

Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur on November 6, 2009 had recovered IRS 5.4 million fake notes during a raid at a house in Lalitipur-10.
